Kind Words · From Our Clients
What our clients say.
A new kitchen is a significant investment, and the experience matters just as much as the finished room. These comments come from clients who have trusted Michael to design, manage and personally install their kitchens.
Michael Ogden is The Skipton Kitchen Company, and this is one of its greatest strengths. With a degree in engineering, he is a highly organised and skilled kitchen designer and fitter. He quickly understood our budget, needs and preferences, offered invaluable advice and kept us informed throughout. We couldn’t recommend him highly enough.
Michael fitted our new kitchen in 2010, and we are very happy with it. He is friendly, efficient and a perfectionist in his work. I felt completely at ease leaving him in the house when necessary, and he cleaned up thoroughly every day—even vacuuming the patio after cutting the worktops. I highly recommend him.
The Skipton Kitchen Company installed our maple-fronted kitchen in 2003, transforming it into a bright, modern and functional space. Eight years and thousands of meals later, the units and worktops still looked as good as when they were fitted. The appliances were excellent, and the installation was completed on schedule without any hassle.
In Bucks was a kitchen so sad,
An update it never had.
Then along came the man,
With it all in his van—
And this lady was ever so glad…
And still is, ten years on!
The Skipton Kitchen Company did a superb job transforming our small kitchen and separate dark dining room into a bright, open-plan space. Michael organised everything, from removing the dividing wall to relocating the boiler, and the work was completed quickly and efficiently. Thanks to Michael, it is now our favourite room in the house.
Working with The Skipton Kitchen Company was a delight. I needed a kitchen fitting for my new house in Chelsea, and Michael delivered a fabulous designer stainless-steel kitchen within a very short timeframe and at a fraction of the expected price. The design was impeccable, the service wonderful and the installation remarkably smooth.
Dear Michael, just a note to say how pleased we are with our new kitchen. Robert especially likes the ‘very clever’ corner unit, and I’m over the moon with my new cupboard and workspace beside the Aga. It was much admired over Christmas—a huge success. We’ll definitely spread the word.
After more than 30 years, our kitchen was looking dated. The new contemporary painted kitchen with granite worktops has made the room the focal point of our home again. The appliances and thoughtful features have made life easier and brought the fun back into cooking. We would happily recommend The Skipton Kitchen Company.
Thank you for your excellent service, from the personal design and innovative ideas through to a truly professional installation, completed with precision and care. Our new kitchen has turned the house into a home, creating a beautiful and practical space that genuinely works for the way we live.
Great workmanship, completed to the promised timescale and for the price quoted. We are very happy customers. We liked Michael’s work so much that we asked him to help again at our new house in Cumbria, where he fitted two further kitchens for us. Many thanks!
We are absolutely delighted with our kitchen. Michael listened carefully to our wishes, needs and budget, using his knowledge and experience to suggest excellent ideas and solutions. The result is a beautiful, practical and handcrafted kitchen. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his pride in his work was clear throughout.
After visiting the big brands, we decided to go local and met Michael. He was enthusiastic, experienced and had a real can-do attitude. His estimate matched—and sometimes bettered—the larger companies, while the quality of the cabinetry, worktops and installation was far superior. We now have a much-admired modern kitchen at a fair price.
From concept to realisation, Michael’s work has been outstanding. He guided us towards quality products and fittings while keeping within budget, adding flourishes that made the kitchen truly ours. He managed the fitting alongside the electrical, lighting and plumbing work, making everything far less complex. Our once-gloomy kitchen is now filled with light.
A thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding experience. Michael provided an excellent customer-centred service and was friendly, approachable and communicative throughout. The standard of work, from the building alterations through to fitting and completing the kitchen and dining room, was of the highest quality. Importantly, everything came in on budget. I strongly recommend him.
From the design and quotation through to completion, we were impressed with Michael’s enthusiasm and creativity. He transformed a bland, dysfunctional kitchen into complementary kitchen and dining areas that flow seamlessly together, cleverly integrating the previously remote Aga. We now have a much-admired and very practical space. An excellent job, thanks, Michael!
Michael’s professionalism is second to none. He gave us plenty of advice while also listening to what we wanted. He not only designed the kitchen but completed the installation himself, and his workmanship is of the highest quality. Our kitchen is stunning, and the service was first class from the first visit to the last.
Michael designed a kitchen that worked around our needs and, at times, awkward space. He was relaxed and personable but professional throughout, remaining flexible when unexpected snags arose. The finished kitchen is of a very high standard, and the space is now a pleasure to work and relax in. We would highly recommend him.
We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen. Michael was friendly, helpful, professional and efficient, guiding us through the planning stages with excellent ideas while remaining completely flexible. The installation was seamless, and it was lovely to have someone leave everything tidy. We would recommend The Skipton Kitchen Company without hesitation.
Michael has a relaxed yet professional, can-do attitude, and over a couple of planning sessions my dream kitchen began to take shape. The precision of his work is plain to see. He translated all my ideas into reality and added thoughtful flourishes that made the space work even better. I wouldn’t change a thing.
We needed someone experienced who could guide us through the process from start to finish, with a creative, can-do attitude to problem-solving. Michael’s engineering background helped him turn challenges into imaginative solutions. He is a careful and talented joiner who takes great pride in his work. We are delighted with our dream kitchen.
Delighted with our new kitchen. The work was completed on schedule and to budget, and it looks great. Michael listened to our requirements and suggested a design that works really well, making great use of the space. He guided us through the materials and options and was very patient throughout.
Michael helped us with every stage of our new kitchen. He listened to our thoughts, made suggestions on layout and kept the kitchen functional. We gave him our budget and he kept within it. He always aimed to do things right rather than good enough for now. We would use him again.
